| | | | Tyagarah is the location of a small airfield about 10 minutes north of Byron Bay. It has a grass airstrip and small hangers and is where the activities such as sky diving, hot air ballooning, gliding, paragliding and ultra and microlight aircraft leave from. The location of Tyagarah is also residential with small farms and multiple occupancy communities. There are some larger farms grazing cattle, growing sugar cane and turf. The road past the airstrip leads to Tyagarah Nature Reserve which is a beach front reserve managed by National Parks.
